I went to the Temple with a friend of mine, so we went in the evening when she got off work instead of in the daytime like I usually do when I go by myself.![]()

Anyway, it was a wonderful experience and great to spend some time with her.![]()

Since I've been having a rough time this week, I am grateful to feel the Spirit in the temple.![]()

I also will likely not be sending a message on Friday as I have a medical treatment that day and probably won't be up to it after treatment.![]()

I was listening to David Sprague today and he said something that's really important:![]()

"People buy when they see themselves in the product."![]()
![]()
It's not about us, it's about the customer.![]()
![]()
Often we get caught up in being the hero and telling our story about how we were having this really rough time and then we learned this one little secret and all suddenly our lives and our business changed and we found success.![]()

And the hero works, which is why it is pushed so hard. Some people see themselves in that story and buy.![]()
![]()
But it doesn't work nearly as well as when you help the customer see themselves in it. Then they really buy and they really stay.![]()

For example, I've been working with this new software that helps a customer find out about their presence online - what's good and what's bad and how they can fix it.![]()
